Caring for Your Canyon Ranch Table

Your table was built to handle real life — family dinners, homework sessions, holiday gatherings, and everything in between. The N3 Nano topcoat we apply to every table top is tough, but a little care goes a long way toward keeping it looking its best for decades.

Daily Care

Wipe up spills promptly with a soft, damp cloth. For everyday cleaning, a damp microfiber cloth is all you need — no special products required. Dry the surface after wiping to avoid standing moisture.

What to Avoid

Skip harsh chemical cleaners, bleach, ammonia-based sprays, and abrasive scrubbers. These can dull or damage the topcoat over time. Windex, all-purpose sprays, and furniture polishes with silicone are not recommended.

Heat & Moisture

Use trivets or hot pads under anything coming directly from the stove, oven, or microwave. While the N3 Nano finish provides excellent heat resistance, prolonged direct heat can leave marks on any hardwood surface. Use coasters under sweating glasses — not because the finish can't handle it, but because prevention is easier than repair.

Placemats & Protection

Placemats and table runners are encouraged, especially under plates and serving dishes. They reduce micro-scratches from ceramic and stoneware over time. Felt pads under decorative objects help prevent scuffing.

Sunlight

All natural wood changes color with exposure to sunlight — this is normal and part of what gives hardwood its character over time. The N3 Nano finish includes UV protection to slow this process, but if your table sits in direct sunlight for long periods, rotating placemats or centerpieces can help the surface age evenly.

Scratches & Wear

Minor surface scratches are part of life with a real hardwood table. Most light marks can be minimized with a gentle buff using a soft cloth. For deeper scratches or worn areas, contact us — we can advise on spot treatment or schedule a refinish if needed.

Seasonal Wood Movement

Solid hardwood is a living material. It expands and contracts slightly with changes in humidity and temperature. This is normal and expected — it's not a defect. Keeping your home at a consistent humidity level (30–50%) helps minimize movement. Avoid placing your table directly next to heating vents or in extremely dry environments.

Your Lifetime Warranty

Every Canyon Ranch Customs table comes with a lifetime warranty on structural integrity and craftsmanship. If a joint loosens, a leg wobbles, or anything about the construction fails under normal use — we'll fix it. Period.
